The right infrastructure is one that provides adequate resources, properly manages demand, and adapts capacity to variable workloads over time or during peak events. It is therefore essential to configure and manage scalability, while ensuring you only pay the right price for cloud hosting.
We first size the unit building block (Instance, POD, VM). The goal is to determine:
Its processing capacity,
Its nominal operating point (capacity threshold),
Its breaking point.
These tests help optimize the unit block and validate its processing capacity. They also define the scaling rules: the trigger thresholds for adding instances.
The second step is to verify scalability across two unit blocks (POD, Instance, VM). The assumption is that behavior remains linear between 1 and 2 blocks.
Finally, for the most sensitive and critical applications, we perform load tests based on real traffic assumptions.
Objective: Validate response times, user experience, and SLAs.
These tests confirm that the defined scaling rules are applied correctly, even during significant activity spikes.
